For my university minor, I recreated "Polderlandschap" by Paul Joseph Constantin Gabriël, currently displayed at Rijksmuseum Twenthe, as an immersive 360° video experience. Viewers can explore the vast polder, skies, and reflective waters using their phones and, optionally, using smartphone VR goggles.
This is my first time using Unreal Engine, experimenting with splines, blueprints, and procedural textures to bring dynamic elements and detail to the scene. The goal of this rendition is to merge 19th-century artistry with modern 3D techniques, paying homage to traditional Dutch landscapes through a digital lens.
